Bow fishing for rough fish such as Redfish and Black drum is a great summertime sport for bow hunters that will help keep shooting skills sharp for the fall hunting seasons. It is a sport that is a whole lot of fun and can be done with friends and family. There are even a number of these tournaments held every summer across America.
There are Alligator Gar,Sheephead and a lot of other fish to shoot that give a lot action, some of these fish go 30 to 40 pounds and larger. Our guests will launch from the Port Sulphur and surrounding areas off State Hwy. 23. One of the areas we will cover are the hundreds of shallow ponds off Grand Bayou, where the Pirate Jean Lafitte used to smuggle goods between the Gulf of Mexico and the village of Lafitte.
We use shallow-running boats with raised platforms for shooting. Our boats also feature floodlights for finding fish at night when Redfish and Black Drum are most active. All equipment is provided.

Other productive areas guests will visit may include the ponds off the Freeport Sulphur Canal, that once served as a vital pipeline between Port Sulphur and the second largest sulfur mine in the world.
Other good areas include Lake Washington, and the Secola Canal, located near the village of Happy Jack.If you're planning a trip to Bayou Country go to:Find the best deal, compare prices and read what other travelers have to say about hotels in New Orleans Then book a Bow Fishing Charter with us
